

PLR is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) located in Athens, Georgia
RCOs are independent, non-profit organizations led and governed by representatives of local communities of recovery. Like other RCOs across the country, PLR organizes recovery-focused policy advocacy activities, carries out recovery-focused community education and outreach programs, and provides peer-based recovery support services (P-BRSS).

OUR VISION
Our purpose is to provide recovery supports to individuals and families in the community who are in recovery or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. We promote self-determination and wellness as defined by those receiving services.
To provide a welcoming and safe environment promoting hope and wellness, recognizing there are multiple pathways to recovery.
To create an atmosphere of inclusiveness and collaboration within the community providing continuous learning opportunities fostering cross-perspective dialogue.
